Applications for the 2024-25 UF Academy Cohort are open April 1st through May 6th, 2024.

About UF Leadership Academy

The UF Leadership Academy is unique leadership development experience, tailored for faculty and professional staff at our university. With 17 years of experience, this program focuses on immersing participants in our institutional culture and governance to lead UF’s momentum.

Eligibility

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Two years in a supervisory or decision-making role at UF (Not required for Assistant Directors and faculty/clinicians)
• Support from immediate supervisor with protected time for program participation, satisfactory performance reviews, and attendance
• Willingness to adjust personal and professional schedules for bi-monthly meetings and leadership development trainings

Participation Fee

Upon acceptance into the UF Academy program, a $500 participation fee covers materials, including a 360-degree assessment. There is no need for travel if you live and work in Gainesville.

Key Information

• Applications will be considered by the UF Leadership Development Selection Committee.
• This program meets twice a month for approximately 2 hours, over the course of the academic year, beginning in August.
• Application deadline is May 6, 2024.

Application Steps

• Step 1: Complete the online application form by May 6, including a one-page outline of your employment history and key highlights.
• Step 2: Request your manager, dean, director, or department chair (if different) to submit the UF Academy Supporting Documentation Form by 5:00 PM on May 6.

Participant Commitment

By submitting this application, I am confirming my understanding that if I am selected to participate in the UF Academy, I will be responsible for attending all scheduled meetings or making alternative scheduling arrangements when conflicts are unavoidable; actively participating in those meetings; completing assignments between meetings; and working with fellow participants as needed, which may include a report or project at the conclusion of our participation.
