Leadership Programs
This program includes a menu of courses, each designed to provide current and aspiring supervisors with meaningful information about the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for being an effective manager at the University of Florida.
Current supervisors are invited to discuss and explore key leadership skills in this cohort-style experience. With completion of the program, participants are awarded the Managing@UF Supervisory Challenge certificate.
Designed specifically for faculty and professional staff on our campus, the UF Academy provides a forum for leaders to explore the complexities of the diverse university ecosystem as well as foundations for successful leadership.
In this intensive leadership experience, academic and professional leaders engage in rigorous self-examination as they explore what it means to be a highly effective leader in higher education.
New department chairs and school/institute directors are invited to participate in a robust orientation to key leadership skills and administrative responsibilities.
Upon completion of either the UF Academy or ALAP, participants continue their leadership journey alongside colleagues through networking events designed to explore current issues and further develop skills.
Join hundreds of your fellow university leaders and scholars and develop next-level communication skills to build communities, communicate persuasively, and drive positive change.
A communications course to help you gain skills and understanding to communicate your research beyond the lab, overcome complexity and uncertainty and improve understanding and establish influence in your field.
